It's pretty amazing that Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have never played a single T20 World Cup game till date (Should change this year)

Indian selectors are bonkers.

Whatever it takes!!!
Chahal is really not that good in T20s outside of India. Kuldeep was pretty crappy for a long time too outside India. But Kuldeep today definitely deserves to be our main spinner.

No, he isn’t. That is why he hasn’t been selected even in 20 players
I would agree Kuldeep this season has been better but the only reason he is not selected is because all of Washy, Jaddu and Axar are better batsmen and fielders than him in this format. And we need our finger spinner to be an allrounder given how crappy our wrist spinners and fast bowlers' batting is.

the only world cup Kuldeep could have been selected for was 2022 and they wanted to have finger spinners that could bat over wrist spinners

in hindsight probably the right call since spin wasnt that effective at that time

Chahal coulda played in 2021 or 2022 but he is junk so who cares

What does Kuldeep Yadav average with the ball in T20's for India ?

Kuldeep averages 11 outside India in T20s though?! If anything, context is what has always been the first casualty in his case.
Now I am confused, Honestbharani said Kuldeep was crap outside of India, yet you are saying he averages 11 , how ?
Did he play like minnows outside of India or something?

16 games outside India at 11, just the one against Ireland, rest all heavy-hitters. What has skewed perceptions entirely out of proportion is the little phase he had following the English assault at the 2019 ODI WC. The bolded bit is on purpose. We've done a bang-up job of conflating formats in his case.

Cummins has been utilizing Bhuvi in the powerplay to great effect, yielding significant benefits. On the other hand, Mumbai should have employed Bumrah this way starting from the very first match of the season.

Lokesh Rahul's affinity for a powerplay strike rate of 100 is as natural as his ability to find the boundary with ease. In the IPL 2024, he's been smashing it at a rate of 150, and on a good day, he's even soared to a striking 176.92. It seems the powerplay is his personal playground where he scores not just runs but style points too!

Mumbai have always had the strategy of holding out their best bowlers for the second half of the innings.. I remember the days when teams use to struggle against them for first 10 overs, and then you'd see they have yet to bowl out their Boult, Malinga, Johnson or Bumrah.. It is a strategy but in T20 a captain should be ready to adapt quickly... Pandya is not showing that adaptability as much..
