Good analogy tbh.I read your point in the other thread and while I rate Headley significantly high; it is equivalent of saying Marshall won't improve Pakistan significantly.

Marshall will improve any attack, quite significantly.I read your point in the other thread and while I rate Headley significantly high; it is equivalent of saying Marshall won't improve Pakistan significantly.
Yes, Zak Crawley >>> Jack HobbsWhen faced with two world class players I'll pick the one I watched , the magnificent Bumrah
Yes, so will do Tendulkar.Marshall will improve any attack, quite significantly.
Not to the same extent, even one and half Tendulkar's are playing. (1 bowler is equivalent to 1.5 batsmen)Yes, so will do Tendulkar.
Again depends team by team. But I actually agree, getting Marshall for a single match improves more teams more than Tendulkar. Not to the same extent, even one and half Tendulkar's are playing. (1 bowler is equivalent to 1.5 batsmen)
World class being the operative wordYes, Zak Crawley >>> Jack Hobbs
No lie detectedWorld class being the operative word
I guess he is basing it on 6 batsmen and 4 bowler lineups that most teams play generally.Again depends team by team. But I actually agree, getting Marshall for a single match improves more teams more than Tendulkar.
Oh, and that 1 bowler 1.5 batsman is some bull****
SCC is just being needlessly snippy there.World class being the operative word
This is over Waqar?I read your point in the other thread and while I rate Headley significantly high; it is equivalent of saying Marshall won't improve Pakistan significantly.
I rate Headley higher than Waqar, quite much actually, but it's not a comparison in which I would shred hair if someone says otherwise. This is over Waqar?
If your comp for Waqar is similar to Headley, then we're on different pages.
You shouldn’t be shredding hair at all unless you’ve been properly trained.I rate Headley higher than Waqar, quite much actually, but it's not a comparison in which I would shred hair if someone says otherwise.
There are people trying to make a point. In our recent polls Headley was ranked the no 12 batter, while Bumrah was the no 30 bowler which was perhaps a bit high. I'm surprised that Bumrah has so many votes.
Headley was about Gavaskar level. Do some voters seriously think Bumrah = Gavaskar?
I’d say Headley had a much bigger impact on the 30’s Windies than Bumrah has had on current India.I rate bumrah on impact though. He's had an outsized impact in the short career he's had and really made a huge difference in making India a good traveling team.
I am thinking of impact in terms of helping teams win series.I’d say Headley had a much bigger impact on the 30’s Windies than Bumrah has had on current India.
They had 5 series in the 30’s, losing 3, drawing 1 and winning 1 (at home against England) they won 4 tests in total - 3 at home and 1 in Australia.I am thinking of impact in terms of helping teams win series.
It's Possible, I am not super aware of the series in the 1930s. Did Headley help WI win in Australia or England?
