Marshall when he debuted had age of 20 . At the age of 21 , Tendulkar was ranked no.1 in ICC rankings. Maybe if you don’t want to count his 1978 series, then don’t compare him to a Guy who faced Imran, Wasim and Waqar at the age of 16 years .

Tendulkar should get extra points for those teen prodigy performances. Marshall pretty much struggled like most to get in the team because of competition but by the time he did it coincided with his peak and it was smooth sailing from there.

I am beginning to think oddly enough we need to take Marshall down a notch over time. Yes, best pacer ever, but not this demi-god that posters are presenting him as.
