he did underperform in that test by overexperimenting with variations but no idea if that also had something to do with injury
2nd test SA 2018 was worse IMO. Pitch had cracks and uneven bounce and even on the 1st day he could take wickets yet went missing in the 3rd innings and allowed SA to get a good score.

and this is the thing you’re wilfully choosing to ignore

Indian team has never expected their spinner to turn up and win matches in sena with the ball under Kohli and Rohit. its always been the pacers task and its pretty obvious when you see the way we use our pacers and plans for them, the spinners have been used mainly to hold 1 end when needed

and before you start again this aint because Ashwin or Jadeja are incapable of bowling aggressively to pick wickets but because the team asked them to
