I thought it was quite well established here that we play SC teams at Hagley for the lolz. All spinners' records in NZ vs South Africa/England/Australia Tests in NZ since March 2015: https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/e...2;team=3;team=5;template=results;type=bowling

Pretty ****ing wild lol.
But I do reckon there is some element of bad luck rather than wilful menace against touring sides. The difference between "spin isn't real" pitches and "oh wait, spin actually is real" pitches (there doesn't appear to be a middle ground) is about as weather-dependent as it is groundsman-dependent. There's also some element of SENAW sides being better equipped with bowling plans and tactical usage of spinners in largely unfriendly conditions, and most importantly selection. Not trying to explain away the whole difference here, which is obviously far above what hb is accusing NZC of anyway, but there are a few incremental factors that chip away steady as she goes at this amazing statistic.
