the above seams like a better response to the post belowI mean, much like the SP has been pretty much unbowlable in the 2nd Basin innings and 1st innings here, let us not forget that Wagner was also in that kind of state against Sri Lanka last summer. He bowled only 10 first innings overs (going at over 6s) - half as many as the next seamer - Tickner. 2nd innings he was injured, but he was awful in the 1st innings there.
Better than the SP? No doubt. Good enough? Nah.
So it wasn't time.
When something is self evidently wrong it doesn't require much explanation.the above seams like a better response to the post below
Tbf, as his record improves people will be sure to caveat these big bags with the counter that the other bowlers were hardly likely to take wickets away from himSecond test 7-fer for Henry. Fantastic reward.
Hardly a surprise, no? Being in a better, more balanced attack is in general better for you but it means you don't get as many opportunities to go on a huge run.So Henry now has two 7-fors out of 93 test wickets at 32.2, while Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood, with 894 at 25.22 between them, have taken exactly none.
And how is that relevant? You of all posters should know Stats don,t count in the value of any player. Please explain. So Henry now has two 7-fors out of 93 test wickets at 32.2, while Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood, with 894 at 25.22 between them, have taken exactly none.
Spent most of his early test career at first change. Is a much better new ball bowler. Probably had learnt a bit more and crafted his game too. His body language has massively changed as well. Gone from James Franklin to Neil Wagner. Was it purely that Henry was mis-used and not given a run in the side early on or is he just a different bowler now?
Kane Williamson is the key , he's the best batsman from NZ and now is the time to show why he's the best in the world.Black Caps totals so far 179,196,162
Difficult to see them getting more than 250, let alone 300 to ensure a 200 run target, which is the minimum target they need to have some chance.
Because they are not a one man or two man attack. So Henry now has two 7-fors out of 93 test wickets at 32.2, while Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood, with 894 at 25.22 between them, have taken exactly none.
It's very rare to have 4 bowlers all with over 250 plus wickets who have pretty much played all their cricket together...Because they are not a one man or two man attack.
