Stokes is the most interesting one. He used to look like a tailender vs ashwin but has played him more comfortably here than he ever has. Unfortunately it's just been replaced by him looking like a tailender vs Kuldeep instead.

He also started the series looking solid and in decent nick, but has steadily got worse. I suspect he's been gradually ground down mentally (and also Kuldeep turning up).

I don't know about that. One of his biggest weakness is how he plays all around incoming deliveries and almost looks like he's falling over.

Pope's stats at the end of this series are going to be bizarre. I'm wondering what the biggest difference is between a batsman's top score and all his other innings combined in a 5 Test series? It's currently 100.

Stokes has often been the sort of bloke who goes from zero to hero and back again in no time within a series. Very mercurial player
