*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

Jaiswal casually smashing 60,000 runs in one series would be fun
I think I'm gonna keep you guys updated at regular intervals as he rises up the list. He's just gone past 630 runs now ..
Which is more than Michael Clarke's Godmode 2012 effort vs India and Hanif Mohammad's 628 run series vs West Indies in 1957-58 which included the longest innings in Test history.

The doubt is presumably over which innings the pitch decides to become a minefield in, since it sounds like it's already on the cusp of getting there. If England cop it hard in the 3rd, India could be chasing 150 or something. At that point the pitch difficulties can find themselves vanishing as the bowling side have to throw hail marys to defend the target.
Welp

I enjoyed this series anyway

Been that kind of a series. 3 tests in a row we’ve played well but then thrown them away by having sad days.

Ahh well just got to try and salvage some pride in Dharamsala I guess
Still got to enjoy the delirious high of the first test. Still love an India series, way less depressing than an away ashes tends to be.

wow, i didnt expect to england to pull off such a massive choke.
jhurel out of nowhere played an outstanding knock

england are really missing harry brook and jack leach.

stokes should go for the bumper barrage tactic, it should effective on this pitch with variable bounce.

Despite their difficulties today, India are still in a strong position after yesterday's dominance.

Second trolling attempt after the first one fell flat.

As an England fan of many years I was fully expecting this.

Surely I can't have been the only one.

Only about another 300 to beat Bradman?

Strange to be saying so but I thought England were very passive with the bat. Using your feet a lot and playing some big shots is the percentage way to play on this type of pitch IMO. Foakes especially was just waiting for the ball with his name on it.

Using your feet a lot
Tbf that is a lost art, the reason why our past batters were great against spin is because of this. They could use the occasional sweep, SRT/Sehwag/VVS/Ganguly/Siddhu(?) all had it, but more importantly jump out of the crease to disrupt bowler's lengths! Sweep becomes 2x as effective if you do that. Most Indian batters don't use sweep & rarely step out of the crease, this is why Jaiswal/Jurel & to a lesser extent Sarfaraz have done relatively well.
Are you thick did you read what I said?
Do you have a problem reading what sarcasm looks like?
