sorry to disappoint you but I only reference what I read I don’t make stuff up! Bazza clearly implied Root playing those audacious shots could be better for England than a normal Joe Root. Now you might not like that narrative or my view that it’s a good deck to bat, but that’s your issue not mine.

idk is that a really controversial thing to say? he should cut out the scoops against the opponent’s best bowler when it isnt merited but he can play some outrageous shots when least expected and leaving that off the table isnt the best version of him
