If I'm completely honest, the more I hear people bleat on about "mUh SaNdPaPeRgAtE", be it former cricketers like Johnson or be it nobodies online, it genuinely makes me think more highly of Warner than I likely otherwise would.
Literally something a friend of mine suggested ayy lmao his wife has slept with 2 or more people
I'm with you guys, Warner was undoubtedly a dickhead when younger but a lot of the OTT attacks he's faced in recent years, especially the Candice Warner stuff, made me dislike him less. Plus I'm pretty sure noted good guy Kane Williamson got along well with him at Sunrisers, at least up until the coup thing (KW smiling assassin & evil mastermind?).

But then Warner went and started praising John Howard, so now I'm back in the camp of 'actually no **** that guy'.

Popping along tonight. Corporate box of course. I don't sit among the riff raff these days*.

I know I’m obliged to renounce my NZ citizenship for saying this but…

I’m a little bit worried about some of the carry on that might go on in the crowd, mostly directed at Warner. A vociferous pro-NZ crowd is awesome, but there’s a level of hysterical vitriol towards Warner here I’ve never really understood. I’m sure he’ll be constantly booed, which I personally think is pretty cringey but whatever, but I suspect it’ll get a lot uglier than that.

Has he actually hinted at an impending retirement? I guess strictly speaking we can’t know if he’s playing his last innings in NZ on this tour. Giving even a grudging farewell round of applause is pretty customary and I daresay it’ll get pretty ugly if there’s any suggestion he should receive one after Game 3.

Apologies again to all New Zealanders for this post.
Warner has actually seemed quite likeable and rogueish now. I don't mind him.

The mind games are starting with Lyon making out like Wagner is an automatic pick to try and con Stead into picking him.

Gary, what are you doing? I see that selectors pen in your hand. Put that down! G-Gary! What did you just write? Was that a W? Oh ffs!

I thought you meant Lyon (Gary/Garry) had the pen before realising it was Stead.

New zealand win the toss and bat. NGL, there batting looks REALLY thin with kane out. Don't know if this santner at 7 thing works when he isn't available. Feel like conway needs to big or things will be dicey.

Clarkson get's a debut, and wade misses out for AUS, Short batting 7 apparently.

No Mitchell either, Australia's batting line up definitely looks stronger than ours on paper and they bat pretty deep too with Matt Short at no.7.

Matt Short with some vintage work in the field there. Gave Allen a gift to get off the mark then fumbled a run out chance.

A natural Victorian if I've ever seen one.

Early signs here Matt Short could be delivering up a decent sized Marcus Harris

Interesting call taking Starc off after one over. Was getting massive hoop, would've stuck with him for probably 3 overs up front to try and take advantage.
