Test captain , team in huge trouble at 83/5 and you play such a bad shot that you even convince yourself to retire from Test cricket afterwards ..

Even the indirect ramifications were huge because Afridi steps down after this match and his successor is Salman Butt, who then uses his position to influence a teenage Amir and basically destroy a potential ATG bowler , aswell as Asif causing a stain on Pakistan cricket that still remains to this day.

I thought there were some slightly OTT narratives regarding England's position after Ashwin dropped out. This is still a decent attack and having 450 runs on the board is always valuable.

But what a ****show from England. Root has let them down on this tour. Terrible from Duckett and Stokes too. Bazball is a net positive, but the downside is you are more likely to give wickets away on a batting track. Big credit to India though. Backs to the wall and they've come out fighting.
