Yeah I'd go for this same order.Ideally in the positions they're most comfortable, so that solves one - KW #3
Smith being the clear best gets #4.
Root and Kohli are an interesting one. Neither huge fans of #3, but Kohli prefers pace to spin. Probably go Root #5 because he spent a fair bit of time there early on iirc and Kohli to come in and be unfair against a tired attack at #6.
Williamson
Smith
Root
Kohli
I would not have Fab 4 in 3-6 , because 7 is for keeper and I need an all rounder to help get 20 wickets to win the match ..Maybe it’s been done before but while nursing a coffee a Fab Four meme came up on FB and it got me thinking.
You’ve got two openers (Crawley and Duckett probably), and slots 7-11 are filled.
3-6 is made up of the Fab Four. In what order are you batting them?
Root is the allrounderI would not have Fab 4 in 3-6 , because 7 is for keeper and I need an all rounder to help get 20 wickets to win the match ..
The funny thing is that no one actually reacted to thisYou’ve got two openers (Crawley and Duckett probably)
Good point, Crawley and Duckett there alongside Smith et al. kinda makes the whole thing a bit incongruous. The funny thing is that no one actually reacted to this
None compare with "Woakes the wonderful one" though.Good point, Crawley and Duckett there alongside Smith et al. kinda makes the whole thing a bit incongruous.
Because with them there the thread title should say "Fab 6".
You have to have them 3-6. That's the scenario presented ffs. jesus. If you're given three wishes do you ask for three more wishes? Answer the question ffsI would not have Fab 4 in 3-6 , because 7 is for keeper and I need an all rounder to help get 20 wickets to win the match ..
So i would have Smith open, I think in his prime with his eye hand coordination he would make a very good opener , his record at No.3 is outstanding plus I think he loves getting to bat as soon as possible, he can make the the step up ..
No.3 is for Williamson cause that's his usual position in Tests , No.4 is for Kohli because of his conversion rate, and Root can bat at no.5 where he can counter punch and he's probably the best at getting starts , ideal for middle order ..
So :
Opener - Smith
No.3 - Williiamson
No.4 - Kohli
No.5 - Root
Kane
