*Official* 2024 South Africa tour of New Zealand: 2 tests

If anything I think this tour has ended Petersen's Test career for now and definitely Fortuin's. Although the argument could be that the latter should never have been playing anyway.

One of the biggest takeaways from this series has been Ravindra's bowling IMO. We'd kinda written him off as a part-timer, but now he's looking really quality – even better than the 2WPM handyman who would be a dream for the team balance.

God bless the SA20 and the finances of CSA. Like seriously how many ****ing batsmen in SA can keep and who would be ahead of him? The list must be enormous.

Klaasen's retirement really hurt SA. His long career to end in such misery, sad. Many such cases.

His batting hasn't been too bad either tbh

NZ don't know how to treat spinners, Santner dropped after taking 6 wickets ..
Ajaz Patel never gets a consistent run ..
Poor stuff

don't think anyone had written of his bowling as a handy part timer, but I suspect he's one of those bowlers who gets worse the more responsibility he has. His bowling will be at it's best when there's not too much pressure on it.

Yeah he should be treated much like Kane Williamson wrt bowling. Similar to when bowlers who can bat a bit suddenly get bumped up the order a bit more. Their abilities and returns plummet.

New Zealand bowlers series to date wickets & SRs leading in to the much tougher Australian series....

Such a shame Stead & the selectors won't have the kahunas to name Latham skipper & drop Southee.
