If your country had to follow the Bazball philosophy in Test cricket, what would the make up of your Test XI look like ? Would there be any changes or would it be the same players just scoring quicker ?
Probably not considering we've not lost a series under Stokes. What's a Bazball philosophy, is that where England play ODI cricket in Tests and win against minnows but keep losing against strong opposition?
England haven't lost a series since Bazball was implemented..What's a Bazball philosophy, is that where England play ODI cricket in Tests but keep losing against strong opposition?
Might be a cope thing because their success upsets you?I don't remember any white ball games unlike Test cricket. I guess England Bazball has slipped into the white ball region of hit/miss forgettable games as I don't remember them
Didn't they just lose massively to India and they failed to win the Ashes at home?Might be a cope thing because their success upsets you?
Haha Guptill probably does look at Crawley and wonder what might have been. He spent so long trying to bat 'properly' because he was playing for a struggling team with a national obsession for showing fight. Bloke should have just yolo'd it on the verrrry placid 2008-2014 home decks. No way would coaches like John Wright or Mark Greatbatch have had a bar of it though.New Zealand probably have the most natural fit for Bazball. 10 or so years ago definitely.

Bazball would have suited them perfectly.
There's no Shami 'Or' Siraj. If Shami is fit, he would definitely play ahead of Siraj. Not really sure about Prithvi, KL and Shreyas both are pretty bazballish. And I definitely think the team would be better with Hardik for Shardul.Jaiswal

Do think Root's mindset has got too free. Would love to see the old Root batting of playing a proper long innings.Bazball was definitely not about changing selection at first. It was about freeing up the mindsets of the best batsmen who were already picked.
Since then we've got "Cook wouldn't be picked ahead of Crawley and Duckett" madness though so who knows what this philosophy really is anymore.
