Any doubts about Hartley can be put to bed now.
Perhaps in India. But back home can't see him displacing Nathan Lyon in Lancashire's first team. Two spinners in April or back to the second team or drinks duty have been left out of the final XI?

Norwood's on Fire
Well done to bazball. It’s real.

I was on the fence about it working anywhere but to see Pope and Hartley, probably the two players you’d least expect it from given the first innings put in a performance like that has made me a firm believer.
Not everything Stokes does works, so people can point to things like the Edgbaston declaration or the follow on in NZ. But the reality is the net upside of the way we play is huge, we’ve won so many matches we had no right to under his captaincy.

Gill is a hack. Grateful that he fluked one great series to give us our greatest ever win, but thanks for your service, bring in someone else.

Shamar Joseph and Tom Hartley the early frontrunners for the 2024 ICC Test Team of the Year, no one would have even known who they were last year.
