Burgey tasting it here. There’s always the golden child fielder from every country who the comms say that about but who invariably drops their fair share. See also Green in the gully, who’s good but can also drop sitters
Starc’s last couple of overs here have been terrific
Yeah I don't know about "the best ever" or anything like that but it's indisputable that he creates a ton of catches and opportunities that 95% of Test gully fielders never get a hand on, and those massively outweigh the odd sitter or two. Like that catch there doesn't look that special but a regular fielder isn't getting remotely close to it.Burgey tasting it here.

It was controversial. Many of my mates here in Oz believe the appeal should have been withdrawn (I disagreed but that's not the point). There is/was no controversy related to Head's smart thinking. As I said, different context. The only 'ridiculous' aspect of this is you using a fine piece of cricket to air your Anglophobic attitude. But if we're going to hold that as a reason to rule out legitimate dismissals then we need to do it consistently. So that would be not out, which is ridiculous.
Otherwise we're left with the conclusion that it was a rationale entirely made up of thin air to manufacture controversy. Which it was.
"Anglophobia" is certainly one way to describe disdain towards the worst, most destructive and most contemptible media establishment in the Western world. It was controversial. He needs to clone himself to sub field when he's bowling.Ffs Green would have 5/20 on another day
Yeah and he drops the occasional soda. Which ATG fielders just don’t. An ATG fielder is a Mark Waugh who dropped maybe half a dozen in his career, not in 25 tests ffs.Yeah I don't know about "the best ever" or anything like that but it's indisputable that he creates a ton of catches and opportunities that 95% of Test gully fielders never get a hand on, and those massively outweigh the odd sitter or two. Sure but for every one of those you might get two or three that no one else gets a finger on. Like I don't even remember Matt Hayden pulling off as many screamers as he does.Yeah and he drops the occasional soda. Which ATG fielders just don’t
Well they do, even Mark Waugh did.Which ATG fielders just don’t
Steve Smith has pulled off more screamers than Matt Hayden did but he drops sitters and can’t be called an ATG for that reason. Green is freakishly tall and athletic which is awesome especially squarish in the cordon, I’m just saying he isn’t an ATGSure but for every one of those you might get two or three that no one else gets a finger on. Like I don't even remember Matt Hayden pulling off as many screamers as he does.
Mark Waugh dropped about as many catches in 100 plus tests as Green has already. Come on, he doesn’t belong in the same companyWell they do, even Mark Waugh did.
