To those confident of an Aussie win: don’t write off the Windies yet, they could still get back into the game.

It seems that Australia went into their shells too early. West Indies knew that as long as Carey kept hitting Australia would give up one. Whereas Australia felt unsure about how to take a wicket after about over 40. West Indies could collapse under lights but it'd need the equivalent of 36 all out for the lead to not matter at least somewhat.

That said, their tail is quite a bit better than ours.

I know we're all expecting WI to contrive a way to lose, but really they should piss this. Anything north of 300 in the 4th innings will be fiendishly difficult with their bowling

Full credit to the Windies but they’ll now likely have to bat under lights. I still expect Aus to win comfortably as much as it would be great to see Windies do this.

WI's last three wickets added 86 so Australia at least getting the lead under 100 is not out of the question, especially as Khawaja's still in, then they actually have to set the target when they could all go over for 120 again, like in the last test.

Don't think the wicket will be worse for batting by then and WI bowlers will be more tired if anything. This reminds me of the Gabba wicket of 2020-21 which flattened out and was easiest to bat on last

Like QLDR said, khawaja has failed to convert in the 40's a fair few times this summer. It's crucial he goes big here.
