NZ domestic season 2023/24

International Debutant
O'Keefe watches a lot of cricket around the world and probably does keep an eye on the Shield livestreams.

So he's better placed than most to poke fun, and let's be real for every talented hotshot we see there are also plenty of comedy errors.

No domestic comp is exactly the pinnacle.
I remember when Elliot first played in the Hadlee/Chappell series around 2009 O'Keefe told the other ABC commentators he'd watched him in England and concluded "the best leg glancer in World Cricket, G Elliot, Wellington."

International Vice-Captain
Haven't watched this one, but looking at scorecard . The choice of Bruce as MOTM is outrageous when Duffy had 2/14 and muller 1/13 of full sets.

I hadn't noticed that Fisher is so short and skinny before. He's going to need to bring more than sharp pace to bowl on international motorways.

Gonna jinx him and say Worker should have had more opportunities for NZ than he got.

He has been one of the best white ball players we've never really used.
We may never really know. He could've also turned out to be another Neil Broom (who I was a huge fan of)

Workers results are a lot better than Brooms, both domestic and international white ball.

I think his limitation was he only strikes at 80 in one dayers and has the stigma of a poor FC average. I think the selectors were wary of having 2 Guptill style odi openers and wanted one to always be much more aggressive early on. Worker tends to build his innings.

Raval demonstrating an upside of Eden Park: the captain at long-off can easily have chats with the bowler.

I love the c00ps but surely this is his last T20. He's been tried in various roles and had lots of chances but averages 14 at a strike rate of less than 100. It's been mentioned plenty here already but surely this is the end.
