Barry is my guilty indulgence, and he always makes my second team, but yes Sutcliffe is 4th, lol.

Because you single out Sutcliffe by only putting Barry above him. Based off 4 tests.Tell me one thing there that wasn't true.

I know you're exaggerating, but even in the most hyperbolic extremes that's not possible.Because you single out Sutcliffe by only putting Barry above him. Based off 4 tests.
Can’t wait to see Steve Smith be a top 5 opener of all time based off his first series opening.
You’d think, but apparently some (including you) think the same about Barry.I know you're exaggerating, but even in the most hyperbolic extremes that's not possible.
Complete and utter tripe. There were plenty of professional cricketers well before the '70s. Some of the greatest names in cricket - both in terms of reputation and performances - came before this time. Your sweeping statement dismisses greats such as Bradman, Hutton and Sobers. The latter did play in the early '70s but the bulk of his career (debut in 1954) was before then. No fast bowlers? What rubbish. Trueman, Lindwall, Davidson, Hall etc. No spinners? Ever heard of O'Reilly, Grimmett, Laker and Tayfield?I don't respect cricketers who played before 70s. No proper fast bowling no spinner just farmers.
I was responding to his post regarding India being essential to the survival of cricket. I would have responded the same way had it been a fan of any nation.Very interesting conclusion given he is a Pakistan fan.
No no you were right. It was my bad. He is an India fan. Will delete my post.I was responding to his post regarding India being essential to the survival of cricket. I would have responded the same way had a been a fan of any nation.
