Not sure if its been discussed yet, did anyone else catch this cricket monthly article on the cricket scotland situation?

Its a long one but rather informative. Rather sad situation imo, Sport Scotland come off as a bunch of ***** too.

And it continues...

just from the little preview, which for the record in case it ever disappears says that ajmad bashir accused israel of slavery, murder, rape, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, i mean, they are most definitely guilty of the first, second, fourth, and fifth of those things

Unbelievable

Given that Yorkshire owed Graves so much money, and given that they had not been able to find anyone else to invest, it is hard to see what else they could have done.
I greatly dislike though the idea of county clubs being owned by individuals rather run as member owned mutuals - at Yorkshire, Hampshire or anywhere else.

You would expect this should give the ECB a headache.
They agreed to reallow internationals there on the basis that changes were implemented.
Now it looks like they will appoint as their leader a person who has denied that there was ever a problem.
How long before they row back on their undertaking to the ECB?

I don’t think that the ECB ever wanted to drive Yorkshire out of business. They only suspended them from hosting internationals (during the winter) to placate wider stakeholders - something had to be seen to be done.

And you don't think Graves will take them to a similar place where stakeholders need placating again? Graves will do to Patel's changes, what Trump will do to anything Biden did over the last few years. Perhaps not as far as prosecution.

I am no cheerleader for Graves however I doubt that he knew what was being said in the dressing room. If he had known, he probably would have assumed that it was just banter, as he said.
Reading the various reports that have come out recently, the primary problem seems to have been the use of racially-charged language. Surely all are now aware of this and the problem should not recur.
