Agreed mostly, but id say Kohli's proved himself more in swinging conditions, than Dravid has himself on bouncy decks, cause of the 2018 eng tour , where he dominated Anderson/BroadDravid and Kohli have pretty much diametrically opposed strengths and weaknesses as batsmen. Kohli was a sitting duck too often in swinging conditions dravid played some of his best innings and dravid was weaker in the bouncier decks where kohli has flourished.
Dravid also has done well on bouncier tracks against Donald/Pollock in 1996/7 South Africa tour.Agreed mostly, but id say Kohli's proved himself more in swinging conditions, than Dravid has himself on bouncy decks, cause of the 2018 eng tour , where he dominated Anderson/Broad
And failed there every series since.Dravid also has done well on bouncier tracks against Donald/Pollock in 1996/7 South Africa tour.
Let's not talk about Kohli in England except of the 2018 series.....And failed there every series since.
I can't see Kohli catching him tbh. Will retire as India's third best ever bat.Kohli v Gavaskar will be a good comparison in a year or two
Dravid did a really good job in the 07-08 australia tour partly as opener even though the numbers for that series don't look amazing. Absolutely vital runs at Perth in that historic win. Similar story in the 01 series in SA, his 80 odd to save a game was as good as a big ton.But it's worse for Dravid. He has only one good tour out of four in SA, and one out of four in Australia..
I think Kohli is much worse in England; in New Zealand his record isn't too shabby considering he played only 4 matches....Dravid did a really good job in the 07-08 australia tour partly as opener even though the numbers for that series don't look amazing. Kohli in England/NZ quite clearly worse considering context imo and because the 2014 series plumbed unprecedented depths.
