What does your Test Team look like without T20 Players?

With regards to SA selecting a Test Squad for NZ without all those signed up to the T20 franchise, I was wondering how other teams would cope in similar circumstances.

England's bowling would largely be ok with Anderson, Robinson and Leach all available, but the batting is decimated. A return to old school cricket with Sibley and Compton the likely openers. Foakes would finally be guaranteed the gloves at least.

So England are looking for 4 batsmen and a seamer at least.

It's a bit complicated for Australia as we're the only major country where the T20 franchise comp doesn't take priority over internationals (New Zealand's comp is not a franchise one). Hence Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood don't have BBL contracts even though the former two broke records for the highest paid IPL player.

If we just consider those "not good enough at T20 for a BBL deal" though it wouldn't be pretty.

Would you include green in this? Obviously good enough for a bbl deal, but he's barely played and plans on skipping the back end of this season to focus on shield and red ball.

Yeah I tried to avoid him on the grounds that he has played IPL in the past as well as BBL.

Don't think this is relevant to us as we've been excluding T20 players for the last decade anyway. Trailblazers as usual 😂.

Buckingham would probably get picked. I'm not a big fan but he keeps getting picked for Aus A and similar teams and he's done alright for them.

Batting lineup isn't that far off what an Australia A side would look like really - but it's pretty bad either way.

Actually he has a BBL contract too, although admittedly only as an injury replacement.
