International Vice-Captain
One of the most clutch players of all time
But the question is about S T O K E S, not someone whose name rhymes.Great batsmen, great fielder, excellent 4th seamer, undisputed GOAT Test captain. Gotta be an ATG.
MillerI know I'm in the minority, but to be an ATG for me, must be ATG in at least one skill. He's a really good all round player
I don't rate Miller nearly as highly as most of you guys. Though Miller was way closer to being an ATG bowler that Stokes is.Miller
I think this is silly as it implies secondary skills are worth literally zero (and also technically excludes Gilchrist lol) but I think it's probably fair to say you have to at least be a great of your time in your primary discipline (not including keepers) to be an ATG overall. The only possible exception I can think of to that in my mind might be Goddard and he's a really odd cricketer in general.I know I'm in the minority, but to be an ATG for me, must be ATG in at least one skill. He's a really good all round player
High scoring era and low longevity. DisagreeGilchrist is at least bordering on an ATG bat
low "longevity"? He played until he was 37. His overall stats actually suffer from not getting to play before late 1999 because of Ian Healy. Missed about 3 years of his peak and instead played on a couple years past it.High scoring era and low longevity. Disagree
So do I:I judge players on 4th innings hundreds. So mother****ing YES

What do you mean? The bloke's a wicketkeeper who can't even get a game at the moment. But the question is about S T O K E S, not someone whose name rhymes.
He is and handling Warne, even if not quite to the level of Healy is borderline is not out right ATGGilchrist is at least bordering on an ATG bat
