Seifert and Allen has to be one of the hack-iest opening pairs in world cricket. Yeah they both have ball-striking ability but god it's ugly sometimes.

Good rescue job by Neesham... and he's out.

T20 hired gun J Neesham still has no T20I fifties in 12 years of trying....given he's purely a batsman nowadays and has always been a batting all-rounder at worst, that's remarkable

Irrespective of what happens in the next 9 balls, I feel like I have way more evidence of Sodhi being able to bat in the last decade than Southee or Milne?

Innings like this show there’s an international level player in there, but he’s often his own worst enemy. That’s the frustrating part.
He hits to cow and bowls inaccurate mediums. I don’t buy the alternative universe theories on Neesham. He’s aight, he’s been aight and he’ll remain aight.

Milne finishing a pretty poor innings in style with a six, I don't think that total of 134 will be enough but it gives us a chance if we can bowl well.

I remember thinking that Southee could be our next great all rounder when he hit that brilliant 77 not out against England in his test debut,

Little did I know that would be his peak as a batsman, it's been all downhill since then for him with the odd brief cameo knock here and there.

Neesham said they were looking for 145 so its about par. I think NZ got more chance to win this now. We had to end the innings at 110 after the start
