Shanto showing the right amount of arrogance to be full time captain.

Shakib can do politics full time.
I dont know why our board suck up to him so much. He clearly stated he does not want to be captain anymore but the ****wits in the board still want him as captain. Ridiculous

Don't know how you call motm here. Either of Bangladesh's opening bowlers could consider themselves hard done by if they missed it.

As comprehensive as it gets. Good if belated statement from Bangers not to be treated as practice and a good grounding for the kiwi second stringers.

Will Young doing well as an opener has me so conflicted, because it's clearly not the best use of him when he plays (I'd have him first reserve ahead of Nicholls ftr)

I dunno, it quite possibly is in ODIs. #3 probably still ideal but I think I'd sooner open with him than bat him 4 or 5 (which definitely isn't true in Tests).

Shoriful looks the real deal to be sure. Was hugely impressive in the Mirpur test and Shanto probably erred in not bowling him more un NZ’s chase.

In a sense, glad BD got first use of this deck and made a statement. If NZ bowled first and did similarly, would have just added more to the facade that the management are maintaining now. Learned nothing new from this series, though you could argue Chapman and Clarkson wasted opportunities today.

Also, have NZ just given up on hosting ODIs against anyone apart from BD, SL and India? I know the bilateral ODI is no one’s favourite format, but you have to go back to 2018 (!) for when NZ hosted anyone apart from these 3 sides.
