:( forgot about this. I've really enjoyed following them – now that their golden gen is pretty mature, how are they going as a side?
Hanging in there in Div 2 across formats. Still struggling on green decks and LOY is a weak link at #8. Should transition to SYK taking his place and leaving more grass on our home decks soonish. We've lost quite a few games we should have won

Next gen looks good. It will be a shame to close up shop, i expect after the fire sale we'll have around 15mill exiting the game haha.

I like the big round robin personally
I think it might be better with SOD. The last development one did feel like it dragged a bit near the end? But with SOD I think the league may be a bit more competitive and down to the wire.
My issue was that it was too many games, I couldn't really get invested in them. More sparodic matches with more on the line for each result makes every game more exciting. One match a week is ideal for me, and if I have just 6 matches to determine whether or not I can move on to the next stage then all 6 games become high priority events.

I am also concerned about the table taking shape mid way and having a lot of dead rubbers. SOD might not be as bad as Dev, but 26 games per team does make it somewhat inevitable.

I don't disagree... I would still prefer two games a week though over a single game. But will accept whatever.

As an addition I bought this man the other day... https://www.stumpedgame.com/player.php?Player=253532
And I probably paid to much; bought him for $111K. If it was not because he originally came from my affiliate team, I probably would not have bought him at all.
That superstar trait , that is a huge price for someone like that especially considering either a t20 specialist or a risk in OD and even then putting a superstar in high pressure situations is a double edge sword thats without adding other secondary traits that limit performance , unbalanced . However i get it , and thanx for the additional input .

Agree that 200k is high for me too, but for the right team he'd be worth it. Can bat 8, decent enough spinner, good fielding. FHK would snap him up.
Thank you Bud, that is what i was thinking as well . I am willing to drop to 150k however any lower ill rather keep him . Quality match winner and as he gains high experience he is going to make some contributions . In my team the issue he wont get so much game time and I have others I need to bleed thus the choice .

The reason I'm going this route(Offer) i don't want him to become a TM chip , there are many who buy and sell ridiculously and I want him to be in a squad that uses him . Ill hold him on 200k for a week or 2 then drop to 150k till Jan , if no interest ill keep him .

Sorry to hear about the safety concerns mate , keep safe and please keep us updated as much as possible .

Groups of 7 with home/away and 2 games a week will take us 6 weeks to finish Round 1.

A super six with home/away and 2 games a week will take an additional 5 weeks.

That's 11 weeks, after which it is either semi finals or eliminator, followed by a final, so up to 12-13 weeks to get the Champion

The Plate Comp after Round 1 would take 3-4 weeks, so a total of 9-10 weeks for the bottom 8 teams to sort out the Plate Champ

If we a single group of 14 teams, home and away with 2 games a week, it will take 13 weeks just to get to the KO stages.

I`m good with two groups. Are you happier with a top 6 rather than top 8? I don't mine either way, just seems tough to get knocked out earlier because you had a bit of bad form and can no longer compete for the top prize. I think we have a number of competitive teams here. Also makes more sense for me that the larger group which takes longer is for the main prize?

Fair point. I'm just ripping off the ICC's Super Six concept lol. Also going off the logic that if you're not in the 'top half' of 7 teams (which 4th place won't be) that you probably shouldn't get a crack at gold.

If we do a Super Eight it will actually be longer than the initial group stage itself. But if we go straight into KOs then it brings in more random element in.

Maybe the top 2 in each group go directly into Super Six, then 3rd plays 4th in a cross-group eliminator to decide the last two teams. Helps negate potential differences in strength of each group and gives 8 teams a crack at gold rather than 6. Make the competition a bit longer too.

Like this idea. I would vote for this.

1st *Unofficial* CW League match this season between ataraxia and Mooo CC,

#BQDoesn'tMatter

These types of wickets are sort of equalizers, the skills and experience of a player becomes paramount here.

Bram Human came in at #7 and had to play a different game he's used to for most of his career. Uzair with a match-winning knock, unbeaten.

The bowlers did the job early on though. Put ataraxia on the backfoot all throughout their innings. The same can be said of their bowlers as well.

Attritional cricket is sweet when your team is on the winning side of the equation.

Looking forward to more games! @ataraxia and everyone else. Shoot me a friendly request.

Odd little game. Ultimately lacking a proper 5th bowler lost it for me there.
