West Indies is actually a region and comprises of 13 island countries, but they all play together as one team named 'West Indies' on international level and that's the only international team they play for.

But would it benefit or change cricket for good if these island countries played as separate international teams? I am not saying all 13 island countries should have teams, but a few would do? Ofcourse that will change a lot of things, but West Indies cricket history and records will stay.

It's not like good teams will be created in a few years time with West Indies team already struggling to do well in the last 10 years.

But technically that's how it should be. Separate countries having separate teams, just like everywhere on the globe.

Would Barbados and Jamaica be the only places with potential to compete internationally?

Feel like the other places were good for like, one decent player every decade

Time for Wales to go their separate ways, other than Simon Jones they've never really offered much. Would've solved the Jones/Read debate too.
