Not just an average of 20 but a pretty useless strike rate as well.

I remember Rixon compared Horne's style to Dean Jones which was a bit of a stretch. I was a fan, but mainly in test cricket. That strike rate of 64 wasn't quite so bad in mid-late 90's era. Better than Andrew Jones, Atherton or Mark Taylor although they did have higher averages.

Reminds me Hadlee said in his book, about his time as head selector, CD complained they were getting Oram to bowl so much.

Pretty sure he hadn't bowled for ages until he made a slight comeback last season. And of course had that great performance in the Ford Trophy final. But yeah, all injury related.
