***Official*** England Tour of the West Indies: December 2023

For the second straight game, Motie showed us why he is a great bowler. Even though he went for 18 in his first over, he adjusted well enough and changed ends…getting a tad bit more assistance from the wicket. He was in his element. I’m seriously impressed by this, his maturity.

The other bowlers in the team can’t match him. He IS our BEST BOWLER.

Have to disagree sir. Theres a lot of white ball talent in England, at least with the bat, and we aren’t getting the best out of them.
I'd like to claim that I was only talking about the bowling.

But I wasn't really. Very well played by Salt, and maybe this will be the innings that moves his international career up a level or two. And Brook's brief innings sounds extraordinary. I'd still like to see him at 3 in this format though.

And it does feel good to actually win a game.

Russell being absolute trash in the last two games. We clearly don’t have a death bowler. Our bowlers lost this game due to their ineffectiveness and also the brilliance of that opening partnership.

It happens. You can be brilliant one day & then putrid the next. That is how cricket works.

If you are class though, then you stand out.

I'd say we weren't quite at it today in the field but I'd mostly give Salt and Brook credit, they were superb and stole the match for England.

I would honestly have Shepherd in ahead of Holder in a first choice XI. His death bowling in recent times has been excellent. I also would stop bowling Akheil in the power play every friggin time.

Still, for the most party we are playing decent cricket at the moment and it took an excellent display of power batting from Salt to beat us.

Complacency early on. Bowling Akeal 3 overs in a row is not smart for the power play when both batsmen had his number. He could have juggled his bowlers more I think. Rovman that it.

Hopefully he doesn't go down the T20 Franchise route.
