They were 46/5 in the first innings and made 180 ..

Smart move getting Santner to the crease, could have done it a lot earlier but better late than never.

Sick pitch made by sickos. This is going to get the demerit point for sure. Turner is one thing and uneven bounce is another. This pitch got some serious issue with the bounce. Its Uneven from day 1. Hope the curator Gamini gets sacked after this. The pitch in sylhet was excellent. It offered something for everyone and this one is just rubbish.

Agree with this though such pitches can make for really fun test matches. Sylhet was definitely a much better example of what a classic SC turner should be (and BD could also argue this one just narrowed the gap between the sides).

NZ should really be done with Nicholls, for the time being anyway. While he’ll probably be among the runs if he gets the home season, would much rather get someone else in (well, we know who) see what they’re capable of before the next set of tours start. HN’s away record just too much of a liability for a senior player.

The pitch in here was good in 2012/2013. Once Gamini arrived and maybe he was asked to produce turner and he went overboard with it and started producing minefields series after series. We won many series and few tests on this but its not helping our growth in the long run one would argue. Still we play majority of our games in mirpur and end up with false sense of security mostly. If they are not being able to reconstruct a better pitch then we should play our games in sylhet or chattogram. Also theres a beautiful stadium in coxs bazar that we can look into.

Tea break came at a good time for BD, gives them a chance to regroup just when these two had some momentum going. Looks like Phillips now had in-out fields to contend with, should be interesting.
