Bog standard Jacks innings actually; looked OK for 20 odd and that's as good as it got. May as well open with Crawley or Duckett who are more likely to go on with it if they get a start.
Good to have that extra bowling option for when the pitch favours spin though.

...they'd bowl him then, right?

Now you're confusing our Brearleyesque captain .....

fwiw I was thinking of playing Jacks at 6 or 7 in this lineup and moving Crawley, Duckett and Buttler up a place.

Kind of important not to overreact surely. Curran is a worry. The other seamers need 50 over games. Throwing the baby out with the bath water isn’t the answer.

I am sick to death of listening to Butlers bull**** .Our bowling was appalling and can someone tell me how Key could give Curran a 2 year contract.

I think that most of us would settle for Turner or Potts coming in for Curran, if only to pose a threat with the new ball. Carse is very new at this level, and Atkinson was pretty good today.

Tbf we probably don’t make 300 without Curran.

He's a great ODI bowler, I saw him take 5 wickets to win the game for England in the first ODI at Optus Stadium in Perth against Australia. he was huge.

I don't know how Sam has gone ahead of him, Tom was a gun.
As the video's unavailable in the UK, I'll guess that match was six years ago.

I would only add that Tom's batting has been more consistent than his younger brother in the matches that i've followed last season,

Yeah I think we just need to pick a specialist bowler in place of one of Curran/Carse and the side immediately looks better. They're both bits and pieces guys in ODIs right now who can help balance a team, but playing both and expecting 20 overs from them isn't the way to go.
