2003 WC final - did Kohli performed in such a situation yet? NO.
2011 WC final - Will Kohli score more runs than Sachin in a WC final after playing 20 years of international cricket?
I doubt he even get selection in the 11.
I mean he helped Ind chase 320 in less than 40 overs. And Kohli has outperformed Sachin in finals. Decent little knock in 2011 and one of the only two batsmen to stand up in 2023

M speaking the language pfk understands. Hyperbole.

Ita also very interesting how his theory of relativity applies to Virat V Sachin and is yet nowhere to be seen when it comes to Viv V Sachin.
If someone says Virat is the GOAT ODI Batsman, its fine.. I wont agree though.
But when someone says Virat avg is unprecedented.. Its stupidity.. I will try to prove it with facts and figures.

Sachin's overall WC record is miles better than Kohli's. And Kohli didn't bat against 2003 Australia in a WC final after losing the match already.
2011 Sachin was already past his ATG period.

Yet Sachin failed when it mattered the most. You can have the shiniest, most beautiful record in the league stage and non final matches, but if in the final you fail, it doesn’t matter that much. Kohli performed in a final. Not match winning, but did his part

That's what it all has been about..... Not a single person here said Sachin is incomparable to Kohli; as well the fact that the person whose batting is truly unprecedented in ODIs (a.k.a the GOAT) is Viv. But you can't shoo an average of 37 in away matches compared with a 55 as in a tougher era. Also, Sachin's overall World Cup record is slightly better than Kohli's, not by much.

Whatever it takes!!!
Kohli is not miles above Rohit come on. Rohit averages 60 @ a strike rate of 100 in the last decade. Pfk makes a fair point that people are really downplaying the massive explosion in odi numbers.
Its very interesting how you have to resort to comparing one players' peak to even get close to Virat's career numbers. Its the very definition of head and shoulders or miles above the rest.

And you know, I am speaking pfk language. Given what he thinks are great heights, these are easily head and shoulders better range for sure.

Do you think kohli is miles better than rohit?

Bolo.

International Captain
Still maintained a perfect average everyone. AB averages 31 in Eng and 39 in WI
Is being balanced actually better here? Would you prefer him to have been better against middling teams like these if it meant being worse against the best teams, where he posted crazy numbers?
AB already has a clearly better overall away record than Virat, and you would need to take those runs away from performances in other countries to keep them vaguely comparable.

How come? AB struggles in two countries. Virat in none. And Virat has crazy numbers against good teams too like averaging 75 in SA, against good attacks

And it’s not as if AB is better vs all of the best teams of his period compared to the weaker ones. He averaged more against NZ, WI etc than against Ind
