The manner of Nicholls dismissals for a senior player is pretty disappointing. Was the case on the Pakistan tour as well, just doesn’t seem to trust his game against spin.

Mitchell looks a lot better when he just hits straight against the spinners rather than trying to reverse sweep, that works in ODIs not so much in tests.

True for Conway as well. Though their block/bash approach to playing spin is probably a more favourable match up in this situation for BD, compared to Latham/KW who do strike rotation better.

Yeah I would rather see them playing aggressively against the spinners, at least that gives us a chance to win, just poking and prodding won't.

Conway looks better too when he is playing shots against the spinners rather than just poking and prodding but we need him to be the sheet anchor.
