Chris Tavare lives up to his reputation of being the real 'corpse in pads' (eat your heart out Bill Lawry) with a Test SR 30.60 & even managed a sub 50 SR in ODIs, which takes some doing.

In fact he's no. 2 with min. 500 runs.

Surprised to see both P Kirsten, who could be a fluent stroke maker & Roger Twose in the top 10

Grant Flower is a surprise. Don't remember him being that slow. Not that I really remember him playing Tests tbh since Aus never play Zimbabwe and their Tests weren't really televised. Seemed to score ok in ODIs though

A few high ones you missed

Southee
CDG
Clem Hill
Constantine
Perera
Sarfaraz
Clem Hill is there at 58.5 and OP says list of "great batsmen" so that rules out Southee and Perera. Don't know who Constantine is but when did Safaraz play tests? Just leaves CDG, who should be mentioned 😀
