***Official***Semi-Final #1- India vs New Zealand - November 15th - Wankhede, Mumbai (D/N)

I don't think Neesham would have made much difference in this situation, he isn't Superman, he is more Clark Kent these days.
Them glasses were off against Aus though.

Just not really sure what the point of specialist number 7 is.

Mind just looks your coaches planned to have Ravindra at 7 and just stuck a square peg in a round hole with Chapman.

Not been a close game at all. This has been far too easy for India - they are head and shoulders above the rest.
At the 40 over mark Nz had a similar score to India. How is that anything but close?

Agree though. If they get the job done on Sunday I think they go down as one of the great ODI sides, up there with Australia of the 00s.

Fielding's a huge difference though. No. 2 at best.

So last ever NZ match for Boult? If so, thanks for the memories.
He's got his casual contract this season, but I don't see him being match-fit for a test, and what would be the point of selecting him in random ODI or T20 series, give some new blood a chance. So maybe. The way he's left has left a sour taste in my mouth I have to say.

Revenge from 2019 completed. NZ can pack their bags, just like they had India do in 2019.
Jaddu wicket was when India lost that game, now he is here catching kiwis in every corner of this ground.
Revenge against us on India's home turf with an advantage with the toss and home crowd behind them, true revenge would be beating us in England.

Would they be as effective outside India?

Great innings by Mitchell nevertheless.

Shami's tournament is just outrageous.
Yet they picked Thakur to begin with. Utterly bizarre, considering his already excellent WC record and if he'd played more would have already been fastest to 200 ODI

I said it was like Australia not picking Starc and I was basically told I was wrong by one of the Indian fans on here.

Shami helped prove me completely right.

78 runs away with 2 overs left, yeah this isn’t close

Comment on my views about current Nz players in the ODI setup.

Conway has disappointed but will continue
Rachin a great find
Kane will still play
Mitchell superstar will obviously continue
Latham's prob last match
Phillips did very well as an all-rounder
Chapman will prob do good at no5 instead of no7 , he needs time to settle
Neesham prob will only play t20s
Young will prob be in the 15
Boult and Southee fantastic careers coming to an end
Santner has been a star too
Sodhi will be in 15 too unless other good spinner comes up
Ferguson needs to improve a lot , I doubt he will stay around till next WC
Henry if he stays fit and performs well will continue
Jamieson I am not so sure about in flat conditions, u need to have special skills to get wickets like bumrah has.

So Nz will need many Young players to fill in some important spots

But the attention now shifts to T20 WC next year.

I mean it's a hell of a pace attack isn't it. I dunno. It's a fair question.

I guess to stand there with the Aussies they'd need to go again in South Africa 27 (if they win this year!)
