***Official***Semi-Final #1- India vs New Zealand - November 15th - Wankhede, Mumbai (D/N)

Yeah losing the toss and not batting first basically cost us any chance of winning.

It's not good for ODIs as a contest when it is so much harder to bat under lights than during the day.

This is why ODI World Cups in England are fairer contests as they don't play day night games, they are all day games.

This isn't a fair contest.

... Touching on that if India (they'll most likely win this) lose the toss & bat 2nd in the final then for sure they'll want the Australians to be facing against them..

South Africa's top order all basically hit plenty of sixes (except Bavuma... he's garbage.. lol) and can blow out the total that India will be very nervous chasing.

If the Aussies drop a few early wickets then the Indians can breathe a sigh of relief with Smith & Labuschagne at the crease flicking it around at 5.5 an over.

I don’t know if this is all the pitch at night but india have done this all tournament of posting big totals and striking wickets in the powerplay better than the others
Well, that's just when we started batting first.

We did win the first 5 games chasing and were never in a spot of bother other than the first few overs against Australia.

While India are bossing this, there's no need for that kind of triumphalism
Sorry! No more!
If you look at first few pages of this thread it's all about how ravindra and boult will win it for NZ to see both fall flat is historic

Superb WC from Rachin. Delighted with the lad
Yeah absolutely. From being a fringe squad member to taking Will Young's spot and making the most of it, been an excellent WC. Hope the lad builds on this and has a great career.

With the bookies, NZ currently paying 12:1 for a win.
Yeah, the innnings started there which is 7.65% and India was at roughly 96% with the difference in the vig. This is pretty accurate imo.

The Cricinfo system had NZ at 15~ and India at 85~ for about 20 overs before this change now to 88/12.

EDIT: new wicket probs changes things.

Okay, if you say so! Hard to recall anyone suggesting India weren't favourites.
