The milking and nudging outside off stump gets him tons of runs in England and Asia but it doesn't work in Australia against high release bowlers.

Yeah he’s ****ing horrendous with them. Ideally you’d make him field fine leg at both ends so he was miles away from everything

Only decent England bat in the modern era that doesn't have a ton in Australia. Has a decent record at home to Australia in tests but has been rubbish against them in ODI.

5/6. Been the big issue this WC. Last WC they had root at 3 making runs, then Morgan-stokes to knock it around at run a ball in the middle then they went berserk at the back ~15. Now root is out of form, Morgan is retired and stokes/buttler are out of form and batting too high.
