Eh we're 7 matches in now, think any rust long gone from Boult. I think he's mostly bowled well except hasn't taken many wickets in his first spells. Partly because there's no assistance of course. Has usually bowled better spells later each match.

or that Pakistan need to win, throwing kitchen sink and can not only come off sometimes but also put off the bowler

kiwis with that big total could just throw on a spinner or two, take the pace off the ball, induce mistakes from batsmen trying to chase the game

There are answers to these situations. Variations, pace, just straight out accuracy. 2015 - 2019 Boult played on some proper motorways and was able to execute those answers. Boult is dangerously close to just another Ford Trophy bowler in this tournament.

Edit - Henry and Ferguson (at their worst) have been the same.

Yeah this could have been an atg pitch misread from Pakistan. Not that it will turn square, but pace bowlers in this match have been popgun. Spinners have been a bit better.

Honestly the decks in this tournament just suck but thankfully the minnows and England being **** have made up for it.

I hope the semis are played on pitches that look like Mars. White ball games on rank turners are funny, even if we're likely to lose.
