***Official***Match #35 - New Zealand vs Pakistan - November 4th - Bengaluru

King Kane

International Regular
Looks like the covers are coming off now so hopefully we should get a full game.

i have seen him play more for csk than you have for nz

i should be telling you that 😎
I saw an interview with Santner recently where he said his nickname is Flatline as he is so cool under pressure.

I would have preferred the nickname of Iceman as that sounds a lot cooler than Flatline but teammates usually don't give you cool nicknames.

They are back out there and it's still a 50 over game.

Bright sunshine again now so conditions still good for batting.

I'm not banking on a win just yet, we still need some early wickets.

I think NZ have played of the most roady of pitches of any side this tournament. Everyone else has played on at least one mid-low scorer (Ind vs Aus, SA vs Netherlands, India vs England etc) but ours seem to be 300+ wickets almost every match. (Slightly less against Afghanistan but still pretty flat).

It's been the total opposite of 2019 where we seemed to get slow low 220 strugglers every single game.

Yeah we were lucky that tournament as the 220-260 pitch suited us a lot better - doubt we would've made the semi-finals on 300+ wickets.

This tournament we're a far more destructive batting lineup (though much of that is because Rachin), but I think we're still best on a slightly less roady wicket. Our batting has cake and our bowlers can exploit just a little something in the surface.
