Strangely couldn't find any previous poll. Virat imo.
What if he didn't?If Virat slipped on a banana after his gym session and was forced to retire today, then Younis.
Virat is on the upswing, so he will overtake Younis in a year or two once he gets some more foreign cred under his belt. What if he didn't?
Better than SachinWhat about Keith Miller?
That's already established. Most players are better than him. But where does Keith Miller fit in all this?Better than Sachin
He can't fit here. He is taller than these manlets. That's already established. Most players are better than him. But where does Keith Miller fit in all this?
Sure, another coconut almost dropped on my head while trying to reply to you. What's going on.He can't fit here. He is taller than these manlets.
But you will be facing pace significantly more than spin so Kohli is better than Younis. They’re basically equal since Younis was significantly better against spin and Kohli is significantly better against pace
Depends on the conditions but yea I think Kohli is slightly betterBut you will be facing pace significantly more than spin so Kohli is better than Younis.
fwiw in the period their careers overlapped:Younis was elite against spin and was safe enough against pace for the era he played in. He aimed to see quality pace out and feast on spin and weaker pace bowlers. Alastair Cook and Rahul Dravid had similar methods. This is a less successful strategy in eras like the 90s and the one Kohli has played in because your scoring outlets with the same approach will naturally drop a lot against deep pace attacks. Lack of range against pace is why he was never a good white ball batsman.
Ability play spin is very important, but ability against pace is vastly more important because pace comes in much more quantity and much more quality.
