only previous round robin format they finished 4th and won the tournament, defending champions didn't make the knockouts (AUS)

was the only time before that a side lost its opening game and won the tournament, although Pakistan won their's this time - Sri Lanka didn't lose, they didn't play, aussies wouldn't come out to play so default
