Livingstone needs to be and play as a batsman, focus on one job rather than be useless at it but can bowl a bit
the whole squad was wrong from the off, too many quicks few of whom can bowl well consistently outside of England, batting was more or less hinging on some form and balance in the middle and few of the order that can bowl are #6 or #7 material
Livingstone isn't a good enough bowler for #7, Ali struggling as a batsman at #7, they probably hoped after his exploits in Tests in India batting up the order he'd do more than he has, all he has done in England terms is regress
oh and LOL at the notion Ali "did ok", England had them 40/3 and he just bowled tidily for a bigger total, free runs is more the way to look at it
