Yeah Netherlands didn't have a full strength lineup for that series, so a bit hard to hold them to it.
I don't think Netherlands have ever actually beaten SA in the cricket world cup though.

Yeah the one time they beat SA was in T20 WC. They've never beaten SA in ODIs I think. Van Beek returning should lend some muscle. O'Dowd, Ackermann, Engelbrecht, Van Meekeren and Edwards have disappointed so far. Hopefully, they can stand up and support De Leede and Van Beek.

Rain predicted for the first 2 hours of the match only. So, it could be a case of about 20 overs lost and both teams playing a 40 over game from the start.

When Bavuma was questioned about Netherlands upset of SA in the t20 world cup, he said that was a T20 and this is a ODI which is a completely different ball game. It will be funny if rain takes out most of the overs and they are left playing a T20 again.
