Looking at those sides, Kolkata had probably been drunk dry even before they set foot on the field.

I still think 87 was probably the best WC tbh. The fact that it was Eng V Ind and Aus V Pak in the semis and everyone expected Ind V Pak back home and it ended up being the even older rivals in the finals... Just felt like an amazing tournament based on everything I have read.

Def 1996, an underdog winner, a great final, great matches all around (India / Pak QF, India / SL semi, Aus / WI semi).

One of the best cricket ads ever too

You don't half bleat on like it give you some superiority which is weird when you consider that the team you fanboy for were dispatched in about 14 overs in the semi final a few days prior.

Anyway the droning on about it was old hat by September 2019 but I will never not be triggered by factually incorrect usage of words like 'objectively'. Midwits like you use them to try and make it look like your dumb argument somehow has validity. No different to typing FACT at the end of an opinion, another common tool of the imbeciles on the world wide web.

Have a nice day

So, it seems my prediction that they'd speed this up so it finished on the eve of the World Cup opener was about as accurate as all my other predictions.

Gotta care about something.
Yeah I think the apathy movement is cancer.

But it shouldn't be this. Care about something that matters. Even within the context of cricket journalism this doesn't matter. I'm just enjoying the write-ups of the games they pick. Chill out IMO.

Ha, OK. I need to work on my tone clearly, because you've taken my flippant comment way too seriously. Far more seriously than I'm taking this countdown in fact, engaged with it though I am.

This one was a great JAMODI, Ashraful's finest moment. Probably one of the biggest upsets ever because that Australia side was at full strength too. Would've been nice to get more representation for the smaller countries on this list

I absolutely held the exact same opinion before you made that post, it just made me finally say something.

But Daemon, trolling as he was, is also right.

You're too annoyed about good games missing out and other flaws, and I'm too annoyed about you being annoyed by that.

Irritatception.

There have been literally hundreds of comments in this thread from dozens of people about what games did and didn't make it, and what we collectively thought should and shouldn't have. Your public annoyance specifically with my engagement and contribution to it is a little bizarre IMO. I'll leave it at that.

You're like my favourite Cricket Chat poster outside of tour threads so I think I just had high standards. :(

Sorry for the outburst of disapproval! <3

I've enjoyed this thread. Yeah, we've had disagreements over what was included (always going to happen) and the somewhat favouring of Indian involvement, but it's also sparked up some great memories of other matches eg Viv, Robin Smith and even that Lancs/Surrey scorecard!

It should hardly be surprising that Crapinfo couldn't actually manage to complete the list before the actual comp started.
