Which Pre WWII debuting player ( other than Don Bradman ), would you expect to do the best, in a typical modern setting? Why?
My vote goes to Len Hutton. I think he did well enough, even in his late career against the best pace attacks of Australia that there were at the time, even if they weren't quite modern, but imho they were more than good enough to judge his quality against.
