Yeah I largely agree but I'd want Milne to get a couple of games as well given he visibily seems to have bowling much better than Ferguson lately.

Milne for Ferguson is a good deal considering Ferguson's downward turn in the last couple of years.

I've got the feeling Blundell will be 1st-choice keeper. For him it's an opportunity to get a bit of a hit-out ahead of Plunket Shield , but especially the Bangladesh Tests in those conditions.

Bangladesh team : vs nz

Bangladesh ODI squad: Litton Das (capt), Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Anamul Haque, Tawhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah, Nurul Hasan, Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Zakir Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Syed Khaled Ahmed

International Regular
Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taskin Ahmed are being rested from our upcoming ODI series vs new Zealand. Shamim Hossain, Afif Hossain and Mohammad Naim were dropped.

Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah are among those recalled, as are Soumya Sarkar and Nurul Hasan. We have also selected the uncapped trio of Zakir Hasan, Rishad Hossain and Khaled Ahmed.

We are putting out something pretty akin to an A team. Unsure what sort of team NZ are sending out. If it's near full strength we're going to struggle to get it done.

Nah we're also sending something that's basically half an A team and some first choice players.

According to wisden.com:

New Zealand:
Sky NZ will televise the tour, with live-streaming on SkyGo app.

Moss

International Captain
Hope Milne is fit and ready to return. If Southee is ruled out of the world cup, he can slot straight in and maybe even play ahead of Ferguson.

Don’t mind most of the WC squad not playing in this series, Conway in particular is probably jaded after all those T20 tournaments. That said, Latham is someone who really could have used this series to get back into form. Without him doesn’t look like NZ have anyone who really excels in Bangladesh conditions.

Last chance for someone like Soumya to get into WC squad. He is here for Chandika. We have seen enough of Soumya to know hes done and dusted. After failure of Shamim and Afif, Mahmudullah probably getting into the WC squad even if he fails. I think Zakir is a lot better option than Anamul, Naim, Tamim Junior if we decide to take backup opener to Tamim and Liton.

For WC squad

1. Tamim
2. Liton
3. Shanto
4. Shakib
5. Towhid Hridoy
6. Mushfiqur
7. Mahedi Hasan
8. Miraz
9. Taskin
10. Shoriful
11. Hasan Mahmud

12. Nasum
13. Tanzim Shakib
14. Mustafizur
15. Zakir

I think this 15 man squad is quite balanced. Mahedi at 7 is required if we play three pacers as he can bowl spin too and gives us sixth bowling option. He is a handful lower order bat as well. I’d take Zakir because of his flexibility. He can be there as back up opener, middle order or even as back up keeper.
