**** it, go all in on Pellestri IMO.

The season looks a disaster so may as well have some fun IMO.

he looks like raw fun whenever he plays so may work out well

Its probably to early for him but with Antony and Sancho in limbo and Amad out for a few months then they may have no choice.

I am more curious about Amad though, he was amazing at Sunderland and its time to see if he can handle it at this level.

All the Division Three matches called off for International call-ups, shows how cosmopolitan English Leagues are now, we had 2 go to Finland, and there's talk of us bringing in a Surimnese International, would be a ball-ache, but kinda amusing if we had a match called off for us having three Internatioals.

Personally though the fact we get to play during the most annoying tedium of International breaks, is a relief, don't have to get annoyed that with the wealth of talent in Midfield England have, we're going to play ****ing Jordan Henderson.

Got a 16 year old starting today, hey its how we roll.:cool2:

h-t, ****ing hell we we were awful, should be 3-0 down

Sounds like Tranmere copped a bit of a shellacking from Colchester today. Only 2-0, but sounds like the keeper kept Tranmere in it. Must be a bit worrying for GIMH as the Colchester team seems to have been thrown together at the last minute as now appears to be par for the course.

We are going back down to hell if Palios doesn’t act soon. What the **** did he think would happen when he sacked our second best ever manager and replaced him with an unproven assistant after nine games that showed he was inadequate? An absolute joke. I fear for us as a club at the minute. Skint, and shite.

Mellon would have easily got this squad challenging for the play-offs but a bunch of idiots shouted for his head, Palios never liked him anyway, and here we are.

Deep sigh

Currenly on a Zoom call.

One of the other people on the call has an AI assistant taking notes. It keeps telling everyone how its name is "Nuno Tavares" lol

I think both Pellistri and Diallo (once fit) will be options but I feel ETH is more likely to start Bruno on the right and go with Mount in midfield (or do the opposite). Pellistri/Diallo get eased in as subs like he did with Garnacho.

I've thought over this break that may end up being the solution - Bruno out to the right.

Integrating Amrabat as a double pivot next to Casemiro then Rashford-Mount-Bruno as an attacking 3 behind Hojlund sort of makes sense. It would afford the defence the protection of two combative DMs while also accommodating both Bruno and Mount.

Obviously not the same profile of players but the 4231 system did bring him alot of success at Ajax.

Mount might be a better fit in this system, with Casemiro and Amrabat playing behind him. I feel this is better for balance anyway unless we have loads of the ball and are struggling to create chances.

Strange selections and subs from ETH today but too many players just can’t be bothered. Some of the same signs we saw under Ole and Jose. Just not a serious football club.

Onana hasn't looked much chop either, imo. I've not seen enough to really comment on his ability with the ball and distribution etc, which is what I understand he is meant to excel at. But he hasn't done very well at the goal keeping part of goal keeping so far.

Was suggested here (not by me) but Casemiro was such a gamble because father time was likely to catch up with him soon enough and yeah it has unfortunately.

He is to loyal and yeah some of the subs,,,Martial been brought on when you need goals LOL.

Needed a pivot to play next to Casemiro or add depth as a priority and bought Mount. Amrabat comes on the final day as a loan who isn’t fit.

ETH looks to have a decent top 11 that when fit is capable of top 4. Like Ole and Jose he doesn’t have depth so plays guys too much.

If you want to help Casemiro then don’t have a 2nd string RB, a 3rd string LB and your no 3 CB behind him. He didn’t play a right winger and had an extra midfielder yet it looked no better. McTominay was awful and Erickson was off the pace again. Just play Dan Gore if Amrabat isn’t fit. At least he knows the role.

this team still doesn’t look like the Ajax team under ten Hag in terms of playing style which after 3 transfer windows is bad. Casemiro was never the guy to be the pivot for him and he has always been a compromise albeit a world class one who seems to be physically declining now. only the 1st team center back and goalie trio looks like a ten Hag team as all 3 are comfortable on the ball and can pass out under pressure but its of no use if none of the full backs are as skillful as Mazraoui or if the pivot keeps remaining Casemiro. Mount hasn’t yet proved to be an Eriksen replacement too. he may get there but till then a gassed Eriksen is the only option and beyond that everyone seems more suited to counter attacking football with speed rather than the 1 touch play through pressure he developed at Ajax
