Welp, that green injury and marnus innings complicates things a fair bit. Nice to see marnus score, really liked the intent early. One place in the SC he's looked a good ODI bat was India in his debut tour. If he can keep this up I don't mind him taking the #4 spot, even if it complicates the bowling a bit.

There has been some serious faith being placed n Coetzee to have him at 8 instead of Maharaj. I don't think he will start over Nortje at the WC so we could have a 7/8/9 of Jansen,Maharaj and Rabada. My biggest concern is actually Markram at 4. I don't think he has nailed his ODI batting in comparison to his T20 batting.
Edit: Actually Ngidi has been a shambles of late. Perhaps its a matter of Nortje instead of him. I wouldn't hate that,Coetzee has something about him.

I don't mind that, honestly. Jansen and Rabada are good enough to take the new ball and get any early swing from it in most situations, and from what i've seen of coetzee he seems more likely to take middle over wickets than ngidi. Means you've got maharaj to ideally keep the RR at under 5's from one end while the pacers chip away wickets at the other end in the middle overs. Is coetzee a good death bowler?

Finally got a chance to watch some of the first game, I thought the SA tactics when Agar came out to bat were very ordinary. 7-down with run-rate not being an issue they had too many fielders in the deep. Let Agar and Marnus just knock it around for the win. They really needed to attack and not let them get away as soon as Agar came in. I can only assume the attacking style the Aussies had played in up until that point had them #spooked

Had no idea Lucky was even in the squad, or indeed anywhere even near selection anymore. Seems like a bit of a waste given he definitely won't be at the World Cup.
