I rate Haydos more highly than many in these parts, very highly indeed in fact.

But this is Border, and it's not close.

It's funny, because although I know people here probably see me as a stuck in the mud on opinions. I've downgraded all of Philander, Weekes, Wes Hall on the basis of arguments made by posters here.

Hayden I just don't see it, and he only rises in my estimation. He was a dominant part of an incredible team, and one of the players I was most annoyed to see play against my team. At first we might have said, oh he's just cashing in, but the fact that he's so often doing the stepping on my team's throat changes that annoyance into respect.

Hayden’s century rate is extremely impressive. 30 hundreds in 103 games.

Just seems like you watched and followed cricket for those 4-5 years when Hayden was very dominant. And I know at least one guy who started rating Hayden over Tendulkar too at the time. Maybe you are him.
