Hayden’s century rate is extremely impressive. 30 hundreds in 103 games. It's funny, because although I know people here probably see me as a stuck in the mud on opinions. I've downgraded all of Philander, Weekes, Wes Hall on the basis of arguments made by posters here.
Hayden I just don't see it, and he only rises in my estimation. He was a dominant part of an incredible team, and one of the players I was most annoyed to see play against my team. At first we might have said, oh he's just cashing in, but the fact that he's so often doing the stepping on my team's throat changes that annoyance into respect.
Yep, I've got those two one after the other on my list of greatest Australian batsmen, and I alternate on the order.Haha. Hayden vs Clarke is the one.
Just seems like you watched and followed cricket for those 4-5 years when Hayden was very dominant. And I know at least one guy who started rating Hayden over Tendulkar too at the time. Maybe you are him. It's funny, because although I know people here probably see me as a stuck in the mud on opinions. It is. He’s an ATG opener for sure, but generally openers will have higher century rates than players who bat further down the order - for obvious reasons.Hayden’s century rate is extremely impressive. 30 hundreds in 103 games.
