A lot to criticize him over but at times you wonder how he would do in a side like City with monster players like Haaland, the amount of excellent passes he sprays around which go nowhere because the likes of Martial don't know their arse from their elbow is insane.

he reminds me of Alexis at Arsenal at his peak, can be wasteful sometimes and isn’t tactically disciplined despite the pressing they do but they create something always and are a menace to the opponent
Alexis was genuinely the 3rd best player in the world for a period of time there. He was doing it for both Arsenal and Chile and having game-breaking moments almost every week.

Bruno was more impressive when he first joined United and for that first 6 or so months.

Right now I'd say he's more of a luxury player. I don't think he's on Alexis' level in terms of his ability to single-handedly drag his team to victory and he's not someone you fear as much with the ball.

He had a drop off like Dele Alli of good/great to liability in a few months too. Alexis was awesome at Arsenal.
He never wanted to join United, he phoned it in after that transfer. Has had some very good performances for Inter and Marseille since.

One thing Bruno will always have against his name is that he's as petulant as can be. Phenomenal player when he's having a good day but when the chips are down he's insufferable and even United fans get fed up with his moaning.

Bruno is one of our best players and I defend him a lot but he’s nowhere near as good as Alexis was at Arsenal.

I see the point though. Sometimes we have 10 players who don’t seem to care enough and one player who if anything cares too much. Arsenal with Alexis could be like that too.

I dunno, I watch United more than I would care to admit and I always think Rashford is that guy. At least since the end of the 21/22 season anyway. Fernandes is pretty good but just doesn't have it for me. Maybe because he's just so unlikable, but I feel like he's really plateaued over the last couple of years.

Yeah I rate Rashford higher too.

It’s more of an attitude thing. Bruno is less ok with losing than everyone else, and it makes him act like a dick, but it’s hard not to wish the rest of the team had more of that. Alexis era Arsenal felt the same.

They've both got main character syndrome, it just works out that positionally they can co-exist in the current team.

Once CR7 showed up though it was amazing how quickly both Bruno & Rashford threw out their toys.

For a while there it was somewhat possible that Rashford was going to leave United.

TAA is a liability in defence.

Van Dijk should get extra games for abusing the official, not hard to see what he was saying.

Watching the Sky feed and I don't understand how you - well, Carragher - could feasibly argue that wasn't a red card. Is there some technicality in the rules that means it isn't always a red card when you wipe out a striker just outside the box who's otherwise clean in on goal?

The leeway comes in the sense that "clear goal scoring opportunity", and whether one has been denied, is a somewhat ambiguous notion (I e. Subject to a fairly broad and inconsistent spectrum of interpretation).

Outside the box I don’t believe so. Inside the box, yea.
